The Village of Staplehurst is governed by a Board of Trustees made up of five elected individuals. Each Trustee serves a four-year term. Elections are every two years.
The Board meets once per month, or more frequently as necessary. During these public meetings the Board presides over business such as approving village expenditures, deciding on permit applications, and any other matters involving the Village that may be brought before the Board. The Board is also responsible for the Village's public buildings, streets and roads, as well as the water, sewer, and public sanitation systems. The Village Board meets on the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The meetings are held at the Village Hall, located on 3rd Street. The meetings are open to the public. Individuals wishing to bring an issue before the board should contact the Village Clerk at villageofstaplehurst @outlook.com. |
